Rey Gutierrez is the Studio Lead and Creative Director at BlackWhiteBlood. For more than a decade, he’s played an instrumental role in developing visual experiences for the music and game industries. He launched his music video career with “Glitter Girl” by Morrison Poe, which was featured as the theme song for Perfect Dark Zero and debuted on MTV’s TRL and Xbox Gamer’s Week for the launch of the Xbox 360 in Times Square. Rey pioneered one of the first multi-cam video game live-streams in 2008 on Justin.tv [now Twitch]. This led to his role as the Head of Video at Destructoid. With PlayStation, he created definitive trailers and documentaries for hardware, software and partnerships, as well as helping launch PlayStation’s Twitch Channel and their first Daily E3 Live Stream in 2011. Rey’s award-winning cinematography, and his work on the feature-length horror film Pitchfork gained him recognition at the L.A. Independent Film Festival Awards and The Nightmare Film Festival, winning Best Cinematography at both events. Rey also served as Lead Video Artist and Operator for Patreon. Currently, Rey runs an independent creative agency specializing in video marketing for gaming and music. When he’s not busy creating prolific content for the gaming industry, Rey is masterminding his next project, MURDER PALACE.
